candy for sale

we have quite a bit of candy, and i'm seeming to be lacking in self control, so would anyone like to buy it from me?? :)
we had a fun night trick-or-treating and i had plans to write about what halloween is like silicon valley style, but i delegated to brian instead. you can read his rendition, but to summarize, just think, big money and big consciences! the kids got at least 5 full size candy bars each, a t-shirt, 3-4 little cups of playdough, pencils, healthy snacks, and basically name brand only candy. i remember thinking last year how different the contents of their bags looked, but forgot about it until the dumping of the loot occurred last night. it's amusing when even trick-or-treating seems different depending on your region!
if you want to see pictures of our luke skywalker, darth vader, and little mermaid, you must also move yourself to brian's website...
he's really just so much more interesting than me!!

Halloween memory:

Growing up, my dad loved the very candies we hated. He would always devour licorice [my sister and I hated it] and that no-name penut butter candy people in the "South" would give us.

Man, he love that stuff. I thought it tasted awful.

wow. when i saw abi in her little pumpkin shirt the floodgates opened. I wondered what would finally do it. that was it. she finally got to wear it. and then i saw the whole star wars gang, and couldn't stop the floodgates.

are we allowed to continue the sappiness on blog comments, or does it stop here? thanks for filling us in. I loved hearing about your Silicon Valley Halloween experience! I guess I'm glad I wasn't there to pass out my lame candy?

i read about an idea of what to do with all the extra candy. save some of it in ziplocs and use them for stocking stuffers! or, i would just eat it now and go ahead and start on my holiday weight gain.

Brian's recap of Silicon Valley halloween was so interesting! As for your comment about "the boys" on my blog you absolutely know who they were... :-)
