i dream of being a photographer. i love being behind the camera and trying to capture that moment, that look, or that reaction. it's magical to me. so, i practice and hope to get good enough that others will allow me to do this for them.
i love feedback on my portraits... good and bad... let me know what you like and dislike so i can improve. and thanks for the previous comments you've already left! i'm planning on doing some practice sessions for a few others in the weeks and months to come. i'll be sure to post the results.

Man O Man! What a way to start the day!! Fantastic pictures!
My favorite in this set is the vertical shot of Nic, O and Brian. The blues are so vibrant and their eyes just sparkle. Very creative! My only constructive criticism would be the use of the oval vignettes. I think it is a little overused and takes away from the beautiful shots that you already have.
i love when my feed says you have a new post!
my favorite thing about your pics is how you capture the moment, and the personalities. how do you get your kids to look at the camera that way?! and when they smile, it's honest, not contrived. i love too the soft look of all your photos. sorry, i don't know any photography terms. it's so cool too that your whole family has the same piercing blue eyes - i love when they pop.
I love the photos, I think they're beautiful. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of camera do you use? Blessings, --Lynn

thanks everyone...
laura, i was wondering how others felt about the vignettes... in this set in particular, i felt most of the pics didn't have enough contrast so i doctored all of them. i wish i had a better program to do some vignettes in a more subtle way. thanks for the critique!
my fabulous new camera is a nikon D80... happy 10 years to hubby and me!
what's up with nic and no shirt!? i think you are doing fantastic...i agree with laura's comment about the vignette's though...i don't think you necessarily need them. you probably will have to play around with your settings more to get better contrast on the b/w's. you have great little models!!
Is Abi pinching O in those pics?
I love their serious faces....
